A few years ago, when I got back into miniature painting, it was pretty much inevitable that I would eventually dive into the world of diorama building as well. What started with creating dioramas for tabletop miniatures quickly grew into exploring different scales, such as 1:35 and 1:72, as well as traditional scale modelling. I’ve also been lucky enough to win a few competitions along the way, which I have to admit made me pretty damn proud — especially considering that I’ve only been learning and developing these skills for a relatively short time. One of the things I love most about this hobby is the sheer variety of materials you can work with. Epoxy resin, plaster, polystyrene, and countless other materials all have their place on my workbench. And when it comes to dioramas, terrain building is definitely one of my favourite things to do. There’s just something incredibly satisfying about taking a bunch of raw materials and turning them into a realistic little world. On my YouTube channel, SLUDGEWORLDS, I regularly share tutorials, tips, tricks, and of course plenty of projects covering diorama building, terrain, and miniature painting.
